Disney+ spent the first half of 2026 leaning heavily on its biggest franchises, and the latest U.S. streaming figures show how those titles performed. According to Luminate’s streaming analysis, reported in a broader breakdown by Bespin Bulletin, Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 led Disney+ original seasons with 2.3 billion minutes streamed between January and June 2026. Wonder Man and Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 followed closely behind.
There is an important distinction to keep in mind. These figures measure U.S. streaming activity, not worldwide viewership, and rank individual seasons rather than entire television series. That distinction matters because older shows can continue attracting viewers long after their original releases, while a new season can generate additional interest in earlier episodes.

Daredevil Leads The Individual-Season Chart
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 claimed the top position with 2.3 billion minutes streamed in the United States during the first half of 2026. Its first season contributed another 1.3 billion minutes during the same period, bringing the two seasons to approximately 3.6 billion combined minutes.
That combined total makes Daredevil the most-streamed Disney+ original series in Luminate’s series-level ranking for the period. However, this is a U.S. streaming measurement, not a worldwide Disney+ ranking.
The result also shows how much older episodes can contribute to a show’s overall performance. Viewers catching up with Season 2 may return to the first season, while fans who already know the story can revisit earlier episodes before moving forward.
Wonder Man Season 1 followed with 1.9 billion minutes, putting it second on the individual-season chart. It also ranked second when Luminate measured estimated season views instead of total minutes streamed, but a different title led that list: The Punisher: One Last Kill, with an estimated 12.2 million season views.
The difference is worth noting because total viewing minutes and estimated views measure different aspects of audience activity. A title with longer or more episodes can accumulate more minutes, while a title with fewer or shorter episodes can attract many viewers without generating the same total viewing time.
What The Data Suggests About Wonder Man
Wonder Man’s strong season-level ranking makes its fate more surprising. According to Luminate’s analysis, Disney canceled the series after it had already ordered a second season.
Luminate argues that the show was a “bubble” title. When it ranked Disney+’s most-streamed series, instead of individual seasons, Wonder Man fell to fourth place behind Daredevil, Percy Jackson and The Mandalorian. Luminate also estimated that roughly 52% of viewers who started the season reached the finale, just under the 53% it says new Disney+ series typically need to be considered safe. Its cost estimate put the show at between $56 million and $80 million in total.
Those are Luminate’s estimates and analysis, not Disney’s statements, and Disney has not said why the show was canceled. Still, the example shows why a high ranking in one chart does not guarantee a renewal.
The Mandalorian Shows The Value Of A Streaming Back Catalog
The Mandalorian placed three seasons in the top ten, even though it did not release a new season during the measurement period. Season 1 generated 887.9 million minutes, Season 3 recorded 790.2 million, and Season 2 added 728 million.
Together, the three seasons accumulated approximately 2.4 billion minutes in the United States.
The theatrical release of The Mandalorian and Grogu offers a possible explanation for some of that continued interest. Viewers may have returned to earlier episodes before watching the film, although the available figures do not prove that the movie directly caused the viewing activity.
This is one of the advantages of established streaming franchises. New releases, theatrical films, and renewed fan discussions can all create opportunities for older episodes to find an audience again.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians demonstrated a similar pattern. Season 2 recorded 1.8 billion minutes, while Season 1 added 798.7 million. Combined, the two seasons generated approximately 2.6 billion minutes during the first half of 2026.
That placed the series among Disney+’s strongest performers in the period, with both its newer episodes and its earlier season contributing to the overall result.
Maul Gives Star Wars A Strong New Entry
Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord Season 1 recorded 1.1 billion minutes streamed in the United States, placing fifth in the individual-season ranking. It was also the highest-ranked new Star Wars season in this particular breakdown.
Luminate’s series-level figures put The Mandalorian at approximately 2.4 billion minutes and Andor at 918.1 million. The Book of Boba Fett reached 357.9 million.
These figures need some context because the shows have different episode counts, runtimes, release schedules, and amounts of available content. Nevertheless, Maul – Shadow Lord made a substantial showing in the first-half data, especially for a new animated entry in the Star Wars universe.
Its performance also demonstrates why established franchises remain valuable to streaming services. Recognizable characters and existing fan communities can help new titles attract attention, although streaming minutes alone cannot explain what motivated individual viewers to watch.
Why Total Streaming Minutes Do Not Tell The Whole Story
Total minutes streamed is a useful measurement, but it is not a complete picture of popularity. Longer episodes, additional seasons, and larger back catalogs can all increase a title’s total. A shorter series might attract millions of viewers and still finish below a longer show in a minutes-based ranking.
Estimated season views offer another perspective, but that metric also has limitations. Neither figure automatically tells us how many viewers completed a season, how satisfied they were, or whether they will return for another installment.
The Wonder Man comparison makes the distinction clear. The series ranked second by total minutes and second by estimated season views, but the two charts had different leaders: Daredevil: Born Again for minutes and The Punisher: One Last Kill for views. The two measurements tell different stories about how audiences engaged with Disney+ content.
The data also has a geographical limitation. These figures cover the United States, so they cannot establish which Disney+ originals were the most-watched worldwide during the first half of 2026.
What The Numbers Mean For Disney+
The first-half figures suggest that Disney+ benefited from a combination of new releases and established franchises. Daredevil: Born Again led the individual-season minutes chart, Wonder Man delivered a strong showing, and Percy Jackson and the Olympians maintained significant viewing activity across two seasons.
Meanwhile, The Mandalorian demonstrated the continued value of an established back catalog, and Maul – Shadow Lord delivered a strong early result for the Star Wars franchise.
The bigger takeaway is that a streaming title’s performance cannot be judged by a single number. Total minutes, estimated views, audience retention, and the cost of producing a series all offer different insights. For Disney+, the challenge is turning that viewing activity into sustained audience interest over time.
